As part of a new initiative, a women’s chamber collective called the ‘Tailleferre Ensemble’, Nicola will be giving a lunchtime recital of wind trios with oboe, flute and bassoon. The recital will from part of the Music-at-Hill concert series and will feature works by Haydn, Bill Douglas, Yokoyama, Melchior Hoffman and Julius Rontgen, and will be the ensemble’s debut recital. The other musicians will be Penny Smith (oboe), Emma Halnan (flute), and Christina Marroni (bassoon). We look forward to embarking on this new adventure to celebrate and promote women in music.
